The work presented on the pages that follow -
loosely grouped together as “works on paper”
– includes resolved, finished paintings in various media,
drawings of a sequential nature that explore a favorite theme, drawings
on pages from old books and works incorporating collage, and dashed-off
sketches that gave form to a fleeting idea before it was forgotten. |
The artist works on paper using
different media and
methods and with different purposes, often simultaneously; the finished
drawings, different as they might
at first appear, are meant to be seen together - one piece informs and
amplifies another. For that reason, they are presented on the pages
that follow according to a rough chronology only, the most recent works
first. |
